Coincidentally, my 200th post falls on Thanksgiving. Ok I'm not really sure that qualifies as a coincidence, but it's at least a fact.
For the past 5 months I've enjoyed recounting some of my travel stories here. I am a fan of writing and of documentation of stories that would otherwise be lost long after my passing. When we pass from this life the only thing that really lasts of any of us for any period of time here on earth is the legacy of stories. And we all seek some legacy, even if it is simply a granite tomb with our name on it. Remember, names matter!
Over these 5 months I've not had any readership growth. I tell you this for information, not as a complaint. I'm happy to have the readers I have here. When I see my 30 posts each month get about 400 views, I'm very happy. I'm thankful anyone takes the time to read these stories.
So, on this Thanksgiving I simply offer my thanks to those who take time from their day to read a story of a far away place. Or the story of a person I've met in my travels. Or the philosophical ramblings of a person who relays what he knows, and even more than he knows! Or a non-sensical fictional account derived from a series of photos of real people and events.
As I've said before, I really don't know how to blog, as I think that is obvious. Not only can I not find an identity here, I expect I will even get more diverse in the writings as time progresses. Thanks for staying with me!
Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving. I to am Thankful that I have a friend willing to share his adventures and all the beautiful pictures of the areas he visits. I encourage you to continue posting about all the places you have been and continue to go to. Thanks again for sharing. 🙏
Happy Thanksgiving to you and all your family. My day starts with going for a 4.5 mile walk then coming home and reading where my friend has decided to write about. I truly find your blogs interesting even the fictional ones . Keep writing and I will continue to follow
