This may not be the best hotel stay I've had, but it's in the top ten. I would say it was perhaps the most spacious that comes to mind. It is the Sheraton Hua Hin Pranburi Villas located in Hua Hin, Thailand (my favorite country).
This used to be a Starwood brand hotel before Marriott (unfortunately) bought them out. I stayed there when it was a Starwood property and received a free upgrade because of my top tier status with them. It was a nice upgrade.
The Villa is completely private and secure. The entire Villa area is walled and the door going into the walled villa is locked in addition to the locked rooms inside the Villa.
Entering the Villa:
As you enter the private Villa there are rooms on each side. To the right is the sleeping quarters and the left is a room with the living and eating areas. Far too much room, I know, but I never refuse an upgrade!
Sleeping quarters with mosquito net (I never used the net)
In addition to the two inside showers (one in each room) there is also this outside one. You have to get really dirty to use all three!
Oh yeah! Outside bath too if you don't like to shower.
Outdoor private pool.
A private outdoor cabana at the end of the pool to keep out of the sun.
This particular Villa goes for a very reasonable $300++ per night. Not bad compared to the price it would be in the USA. But, I used my loyalty points for free nights as I normally do,
The area of Hua Hin is laid back. As nice as the Villa was I didn't spend too much time here other than to enjoy the pool. The resort offered pedal bikes and I explored by biking in the morning before it got too hot. Later I would rent a scooter for a few bucks in the afternoon.
I have to admit this beautiful Villa is wasted on someone like me who doesn't take the time to enjoy it. It's probably best suited for a "staycation " type of visit. But I get too bored just sitting still all day. I prefer to explore.
I'll leave you with videos:
A beautiful suite the price of that room in America would be at least double for that.
Very nice. 👍
