Sunrise over the Red Sea

Sunrises happen every day. I'm usually awake every morning when it occurs and have been conditioned to take them for granted. But there are some areas on this earth where they appear to be very special. One of those places is the Red Sea.


On a trip to Sharm el Sheik at the southern end of the Sinai Peninsula I stayed at the Hyatt Regency. This oasis in the desert exists due to desalination of the salt water as rain is all but nonexistent. My hotel Villa back deck faced to the east allowing the view of some extraordinary sunrises.



Each morning I arose to views like this:

This is the best sunrise I have ever viewed. And it was the same everyday with no clouds to obscure.

That sunrise never changes. No clouds to obscure every morning. Been that way for thousands of years.
