This is Weird

I was flying from Bangkok to Finland on Finnair in business class. This was a 12+ hour flight, so, as I normally do upon boarding, I changed into my flying pajamas as soon I was on the plane.

I do this for two reasons. Firstly, because it is more comfortable while flying. Secondly, to keep my normal clothes fresher for when I land. I do this even for daytime flights like this one. Typically, on day flights, I am the only one to do this on the plane that I can see.

It used to be I was often issued new pajamas in business class flights. But I think that is all but non-existent now. However, I still had some new PJs from my flight over here. They were from my first class Thai Airways flight. It seems First Class still issues pajamas.

I realized I looked a bit out of place sporting my flashy first class Thai Airways garments on Finnair. But, they didn't kick me off anyway.

But the weird thing was where I changed. Of course, I changed in the bathroom of the plane. I never enjoy this because the bathrooms are usually small and cramped, even in business class. I also don't like it because while changing from shoes to slippers I have a real aversion to putting my bare feet or socked feet on the bathroom floor. So it can get a bit difficult at times.

Ok the weird part:

I've never seen a bathroom like this before. The window is right at the level where you do your business of the #1 variety!

Now, that's ok at 30,000 feet, but at ground level before take off, this is a bit uncomfortable! Anyone on the runway or another plane can easily look in. And, I had to go!

Sure, I could sit down to pee, but I have a real aversion to that too. I never sit on a public toilet unless it is an emergency. Yeah, maybe I have too many aversions to actually travel in public transportation, but I somehow manage.

Well, my aversion to public toilets was greater than my aversion to public exposure so I went standing up. I expect the ground crew are still talking about it to this day.

Yeah I can have real paranoia when in public. In fact, in high school I used to love to go to see the football games. But eventually I had to stop because every time the high school players would go into their huddle, I was sure they were talking about me! 😀

Ok, maybe not that paranoid, but enough the whole situation made me uncomfortable. Enough so that I wrote this stupid post!

If you traveled through a wormhole you would not need to change into PJ's.

There's definitely a paranoia . Sometimes we put to much thought into what people are thinking. We think there talking about us but in reality they have other things going on in there lives. Very odd that the window was located where it was. I understand you being uncomfortable
